The Pyramid: The Tower

The Pyramid is a gateway to the stars, a heavenly ladder, a doorway to eternity through which the hero’s journey to Aaru is expedited. In the Pyramid/Tower card, we see a tumultuous scene, with lightning striking the still-under-construction pyramid directly over the Eye of Heru. Cracks are forming in the structure as stones and rubble fall down along with the architect. All of this amounts to a serious disturbance of the journey and a potential setback.

Themes

The Pyramid/Tower card represents disruption. It can range in seriousness from a minor disturbance or middling disruption to a far more serious upheaval caused by a natural disaster, loss, tragedy, trauma, personal failure, violence, or any number of events; any number of perils over which the hero has no control.
