Bes: The Guardian

Bes, the lion-dwarf god, was an ancient Kemetic household deity. He provided protection over homes and to sleepers, with a special interest in caring for mothers and children. Though not counted among the most powerful of the celestial Neteru, Bes was one of the most popular ancient Kemetic deities, with his image engraved on amulets, furniture, weapons, and all manner of household goods.
